I've noticed that when using the standard badge installer to install an Adobe AIR desktop application from a web page and you do not already have the AIR framework installed, that the .air application file is downloaded once and then as you go through the Installation dialogs to install the framework and application it will download that same .air file a second time. I discovered this while viewing the http traffic with a proxy app (Charles) during the install process.
I've noticed this same behaviour on other peoples Air apps as well, so I'm assuming this is just how Air works. Normally, this wouldn't be a huge problem, but since my application is 150MB having to download it twice can be problematic for some users.
Can anyone confirm this is how Adobe Air works or is there something potentially wrong with how I set up the install badge.
