BTW I am on windows 8.1
I could not try the first recommendation because I am not a developer
I did try your second recommendation and removed Windows Update KB2962123
Rebooted my laptop and tried to install pageonecurator and I have the same failure.
I get a similar failure if I try to install CurationSort or Market Samurai
If you or any other forum has any suggestions I will be glad to try them
